Get ready for something shocking– the new, fully electric Volvo Ex30 is preparing to make its debut in early June of this year. This small SUV will provide all-electric power and performance up to the standards that only Volvo can set, and it’s sure to make a splash when it’s finally here in all of its glory. Here are the details we know about the new vehicle so far!
The new EX30 is set to be unveiled on June 7th, and is taking the approach of providing good things in small packages. It’s Volvo’s smallest SUV to date, but is providing big things in all categories. Designed to provide efficiency, safety, and luxury on the city streets, it’s everything the modern driver needs on a day-to-day basis.
The EX30’s innovative safety features have been specially designed with city driving in mind. For instance, car doors opening into the path of a bicyclist is a cause of many accidents in a city setting, so the Volvo EX30 is equipped with a door opening alert, which uses visual and audio cues to alert the driver whenever they’re about to open the door into the path of a passing cyclist or other traffic user, helping to reduce these accidents and the amount of injuries and damage they cause. The vehicle also features an advanced new safety system as standard, with hands-on detection in the steering wheel, and detection for drowsy and distracted driving as well to help keep you safe and alert.
The EX30 also features a specially designed chassis and safety cage to help protect the battery in case of a collision. Made with various forms of high-strength steel, they help to efficiently offset the impact of the crash to help maintain battery integrity. Additionally, the vehicle includes a far-side airbag on the inside of the driver’s seat to help reduce head and thorax injuries during a side impact.
