The Volvo S60 vs. the BMW 3 Series

• Space. Both five-passenger sedans offer roomy seating for five people. But, the Volvo is a little more spacious and comfortable for you and your passengers. The Volvo is about five inches longer overall than the BMW, translating to more legroom inside for people in both the front and the backseats.
• Hybrid model. Both sedans offer drivers a hybrid powertrain option. But, they're very different engines. While the Volvo S60 hybrid is a 400-horsepower top-of-the-line system that has standard all-wheel drive and a 21-mile electric-only range. The BMW 3 Series hybrid engine only generates 248 horsepower and doesn't offer all-wheel drive.
• Power. All available engines for the Volvo S60 are more powerful and capable than the BMW series. Base power for the Volvo starts at 250 horsepower and goes up to a top rating of 400 horsepower. The BMW, on the other hand, starts at 180 horsepower. It also offers a range of powertrain options, but it tops out at 320 horsepower.

The Volvo S60 vs. the INFINITI Q50

• Size and wheelbase. The Volvo S60 is a spacious and roomy SUV, and it measures a little larger overall than the Q50. In fact, the S60 is more than three inches longer, and it has a wider wheelbase. For you, this means a ride that feels more stable and secure on the road, and a roomy interior that offers more legroom.
• Safety features. Both models offer standard automatic emergency braking and other safety features. But, the Volvo S60 has several additional safety features the Q50 doesn't offer standard, including a drowsy driver alert system and run-off road mitigation. Plus, several of the features you get standard on the Volvo aren't standard anywhere in the Q50 lineup and are only listed as options you can order as part of a package.
• Creature comforts. The Volvo S60 also comes with more tech and comfort amenities than the INFINITI Q50. Look for heated front seats and a panoramic sunroof to come standard on every S60, while both of these sought-after features are only available on mid and upper trims for the Q50.
