Since 2019, no major changes have been made to the S60's exterior style besides some front silhouette updates. A special, new Black Edition package offers the addition of glossy black detailing on several of the car's exterior features, like the wheels and grille, to provide an edgier look. This Volvo model also offers the dreamy Recharge Polestar Engineered trim. This trim will provide more aggressive acceleration options. In addition to improved performance, there are also a variety of Polestar upgrades inside and outside the vehicle. Perhaps most impressive, this model can hit 60 miles per hour from a complete standstill in just 5.1 seconds. This blows away any other high-performance trim offered by Volvo's competitors.

The Momentum trim package offers an economical option for daily commutes. This trim can reach 26 MPG in cities and an outstanding 35 MPG on the highway. The fuel tank on this option is 15.9 gallons, allowing a highway range of 556 miles. The Recharge plug-in trim can give 74 MPG with an electric-only limit of 41 MPG.

Volvo is known for its impressive safety features, and the S60 is no exception. It comes with rear cross-traffic alerts, a collision monitoring system, lane keeping assist, and a lane departure warning. Not to mention, it has a 5-star crash safety rating.

The S60 includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google built in to allow drivers to use a multitude of apps, like Google Maps and Google Assistant, while on the road.

A long list of upgrades comes with the 2023 S60. In addition to some new performance features, a few design changes and updates to trim options have been made since 2022.
